After installing ZenCart, make sure you heed the security recommendations, delete the zc_install directory, and rename the admin directory.

Also look for security alerts and patches in the announcement forum for any software updates that had occurred after you had downloaded your version. 

Sometimes there are minor updates in the forums that are not in the official annoucement. I usually like to perform the modifications to the Local Tax Mod and the code change in the newsletter module.
