eBay Messages

If you participate in eBay a lot, you should get into the habit of checking your eBay messages.

Step 1

Go to http://www.ebay.com and sign in by clicking the Sign In Securely button. You will then be redirected to https://signin.ebay.com

Make sure that the URL starts with "https://signin.ebay.com" so you know that this is the authentic eBay site. Again, the s in the https indicates that your data is being transmitted in a secured fashion.

Enter your eBay ID and password. I normally do not checkmark the "Keep me signed in" checkmark. I rather sign in each time.

Step 2

Select the My eBay tab and click the My Messages link found in the left navigation menus.

Step 3

Click on Inbox in the left navigatio menus.

If you have just signed up for eBay, you should see a Welcome message. eBay and other eBay members may be sending you messages here. Only eBay itself or other eBay members can send you messages here. Hence here you will not see as much fradulent emails as you do in your personal email address.

When done with checking messages, you can click "Back to My eBay" link to go back.

Step 4

Sign out of eBay when done.
